Mr. Shahzad Ali Siddiqi

Founder of Anjum Textile Mills (Pvt.) Limited

Mr. Shahzad Ali Siddiqi was born in 1933 at Delhi, India and hailed from a reputed business family. He obtained his primary education in India and then moved with his family to Multan in Pakistan during independence where he completed his academic education up to Intermediate. Later, Mr. Shahzad did a diploma in Textile Engineering from City & Guilds of London Institute and later went to Germany for practical training in various departments of the textile industry . In 1956, Mr. Shahzad formally joined the technical departments of textile industry where he swiftly worked his way up to the top notch as a result of his untiring efforts and hard work. Mr. Shahzad served in many renowned textile groups such as Fateh Textiles Hyderabad, Colony Textiles Multan, Nishat Mills Faisalabad, Indus Dyeing Hyderabad, Shamas Textile Chiniot and Zeenat Mills Faisalabad for more than 27 years and gained vast experience in Spinning, Sizing, Weaving and Processing areas of the industry.

 

In 1983, Mr. Shahzad started his own business and in 1984, laid the foundation of Anjum Textile Mills (Pvt.) Ltd as a manufacturer of textiles. As Chief Executive of the company for over 22 years, Mr. Shahzad flourished it as one of the renowned textile export house having its indigenous and specialized products to serve customers worldwide. The company won many export trophies, national and international accreditations and in 2005, also entered in the field of spinning after setting up of a brand new unit which then became the epicenter of the company.

 

Mr. Shahzad was very passionate and hardworking who was much regarded in the business circle for his unmatched competence and devotion to work. He actively participated in the matters of business community and also served as executive member for Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) and Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA). Mr. Shahzad was also elected twice to the office of Chairman Faisalabad Dry Port Trust (FDPT) besides serving as Chairman of All Pakistan Dry Port Federation in 2006.

 

The vision and mission of Mr. Shahzad continues in the hands of his beloved sons who are striving very hard to further expand their industry in a very professional manner.
